I bring the noise.

DJ Andrew Hugh

I grew up in a big family; 4 sisters and 1 brother. So creating my own unique identity has been an important part of my life. My passion for music began way back. I can remember listening to a Fatboys tape on my Fisher Price cassette player, rockin’ it around Clifton Heights like it was a serious ghetto blaster. As I grew older, my love for hip hop music took full stream. My first tapes I ever bought were Lords of the Underground’s “Here come the Lords” and Digable Planets “Rebirth of the Slick”. I still love those jazzy golden age beats to this day as if they were recorded yesterday.

To make a long long story short, my musical taste has expanded greatly since those years and I don’t think it will ever stop. Rhythm, melodies, musical innovation, entertainment, and dancing are all in my blood. I credit that to my Pop-Pop (my Mom’s Dad) whom I never got to meet. He was a tap dancer and had a knack for entertaining people. Someday we’ll share stories. He can show me some steps and I can show him how to beat-match. ;)
